Sasunaru When the Past Rewinds

Summary: Naruto, having been merged with the Kyuubi, became immortal and lived to watch all his friends die. Now, in a time when demons and ninja are just folklore, how will him survive? Especially when he learns that Sasuke, who he always thought had died in Orochimarus hand, had gotten away and the demon Orochimaru had placed with him had made him immortal as well?

I once loved this town dearly. I guess in ways, I still do. Though now, it is a city, and the buildings rise so high, I sometimes stand atop them to call out to my friends in the heavens. All of them.

Once, long ago, this world was filled with happy chatter, lively people and joyful sounds. Now, everyone is too busy to stop, too busy to relax. They run about their daily routines, never stalling, never stopping. They are more like robots than the people I used to know.

Shikamaru. So lazy. He would never be caught doing desk work, and wouldn’t be able to keep a jog like that for more than a week.

Choji. His family’s old restaurant is still up and running, though its name has been changed and it has different owners, so I guess I know what he would be doing.
Sakura. She would go into fashion design or some other girly, high end kind of job. What a strange girl to have been such a strong ninja.

Sasuke. Oh, yes. That’s one name I will never forget. He was my best friend, my worst rival, and my dearest love.  I do not know what he would be doing. He is too unpredictable. I say is, because some part of me can’t stand to think him dead. It hurts too much. But that is the truth, and I cannot deny it.

If everyone is dead, why am I alive, you ask? Because. I am Naruto. And I am a demon.
